This exciting tour is designed to link students’ classroom exercises with
authentic hands-on experiences. The program includes visits to the 17th Century
Castillo de San Marcos, the late 1800’s Old Jail, the Florida Heritage Museum
and a fully narrated tour of historic St. Augustine. The Old Town Trolley Tour
highlights 100 points of interest from Florida’s first successful mission,
Nombre de Dios, to Henry Flagler’s grand Ponce de Leon Hotel. The trolley can
transport your group to the Castillo de San Marcos and the other sites selected
as part of your itinerary.

Plus a haunted tour on the Trolley of the Doomed:
Come explore the darker side of St. Augustine’s past. Visit the Old Drug Store
which rests upon an old Indian burial ground. It is a natural gathering place
for lost souls. Learn the secrets of embalming and why so many people were
buried alive. Also encounter the Spanish Military Hospital. View the death bed
and hear of amputations and strange medical practices shared in hushed tones as
you re-live the grizzly duties of 17th century medical practitioners. Your last
ghostly destination is the Old Jail. Built in 1891 it housed prisoners for over
60 years and has been the site of countless supernatural occurrences.
Please be advised the tour is rated PG-13 and an adult must accompany children
under the age of 10. Comfortable shoes are also recommended so you
don’t become “dead on your feet” during the brief walking portions of the tour.
The departure for your ghoulish adventure is at 7:00 pm and lasts for a
terrifying1 hour and20 minutes.
