Just three houses off the beach, with no big roads to cross, this is a perfect family getaway at a great price. You'll love the new hot tub on the private, new deck! Let us line up surf lessons for the kids with Paul Minton and Kelly Halloran. Then you can have some private time while the kids learn one of the best sports in the world and you have a little quiet time to re-connect.

Enter main floor of the cottage to the foyer and a family dining room beautifully furnished in a Pottery Barn and beach décor. The wide, nautical spiral staircase separates the dining room from the kitchen and breakfast bar. Off to the right is the master suite, with a queen bedroom, walk-in closet and large full bathroom. The master bedroom has sliding glass doors that open to the back deck and the yard. Your handicapped family members will find this a wonderfully accessible home. A breakfast bar in the kitchen opens to sliding glass doors and a deck in the back yard. These rooms are marvelously private, as the back yard contains the two car garage with a driveway to the rear street. And, the lot behind the house is wooded and vacant. Yippee! No curtains necessary! One of my favorite things! The yard is fenced. So turn the kids and the dogs loose and let them romp! No worries.

Take either the spiral staircase from the main floor, or the outside staircase up to the second floor where you’ll find a great big, brand new deck for dining, sunning, playing cards or doing nothing, while you watch the ocean. It’s a small view, but a good view. The afternoon suns sinks to the west and the deck is shaded and delightful in the ocean breezes. The living room is there on the second floor with two sets of sliding glass doors opening onto the deck.

The living room has an entertainment area with TV, DVD, VCR, Playstation, (and now Blockbuster has the monthly special!!! And they’re right up the road!!!) Comfortable sofas and a game table. A wet bar. Oh, this is great! To the back of the second level are two comfortable bedrooms and a full bath.

The yard is well shaded with trees and beautiful bougainvillea, plumbago and mandavilla. The neighborhood is a true beach neighborhood. Kids ride their bikes without the worry of traffic, Neighbors walk their dogs and visit with each other in the street. There are maintained foot paths through the dunes for a walk to the beach. There is also an access ramp for taking the car down and driving on the beach.

Karen and Steve are having a blast decorating and refurbishing this house. It is more wonderful each time they come down for a visit. On their next trip they will be converting the garage into a game room and will be expanding the front deck. We know this Biera Mar cottage will make your family very happy at the beach!

BOOKING INFORMATION:
  • Tax & Housekeeping:  All state and county taxes are included in our rates. Limited housekeeping is also included, and requires that you leave your home neat. Full exit cleaning or daily housekeeping is available by arrangement. Please check with the office.

  • Deposits:  50% to reserve, balance 30 days before arrival. Security deposit: $700 REFUNDABLE CASH payment in addition to rental fee. Clean House = Full Refund!

  • Payment Policies:  Pets are welcome in all of our properties. Pet fees are $125 + tax, per pet. WEDDINGS are welcome too at some homes; additional fees and agreements are appropriate, please call our office for assistance. All major credit cards & checks are accepted.

  • Cancellations:  Should your plans change after your deposit or full payment has been made, we will happily reschedule your stay for a mutually convenient time. Please ask for a copy of the rental agreement for a full explanation. We recommend travel insurance from AIG or another reputable source if you feel there's a chance you may have to cancel.

  • Arrival/Departure: Check-in at 4:00 P.M. - time to chill the wine and enjoy the beach! Check-out at 11:00 A.M. to make room for our next guests! These times are firm. Late departures will cause an additional day to be charged to your account.

  • Holiday Rates:  A 25% increase will occur at major holidays and event weeks. Our favorite holidays are Christmas, New Years' Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. Special events in our area include Rolex 24 Hours & Speed Weeks, Daytona 500 & Bike Week.

The Beach Cottages Company regards service to our country as one of greatest sacrifices our young men and women can make. We are happy to do this small part to lessen the burden they bear at this time.

Important Note:  Our goal is to rent each home by the week.  Our rental week consists of 7 nights.  We try to be flexible to meet guests' needs.  Most popular requests are Saturday through Saturday, but we will work mid-week rentals.  We aim to please our guests, not the calendar.

Less than one week stays will be by special arrangement.  Three night rentals are welcome, however only within a three week period preceding the date (i.e., in April, we will not make a three night rental for June.  Should the house still be open on June 1, we will consider a three night rental).

Please note that prices include all fees (6% Florida sales tax, 3% St. Johns County Tourism tax and housekeeping).
