ABOUT THE HOME:
You'll love this architecturally important beach house. Designed by Harry Merritt of Gainesville, The Lookout is a part of Crescent Beach history. This is a great beach house! The Lookout sits way up high on the beautiful Crescent Beach dunes, about 1.5 miles south of SR 206. It is hidden from A1A by gorgeous 30 year old Red Bay trees - very private. Even the neighbors on the north and south sides are minimized by all the natural vegetation.
Built for views, the rooms have walls of glass that overlook both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Central to the house on the first and second floor are gathering areas. On the second floor, where the views go on forever, the kitchen opens into the dining area and into the living room and into the porch. It's a lovely open area for meals and family time. On the first floor, the central area is a play room with sleeper sofa's, a tv and entertainment for the kids. A fourth bedroom, a bath and garage complete this first floor.
The second floor continues to the north and the south with bedrooms and baths on each side of the great room. The master bedroom goes from west to east with a king canopy bed, it's own bath and balcony over the ocean and another over the river. On the south side, there are two bedrooms with a bath, the oceanside room has it's own balcony overlooking the sea, while the west room has windows looking out over the Intracoastal Waterway.

BOOKING INFORMATION:

Tax & Housekeeping:
All state and county taxes are included in our rates. Limited housekeeping is also included, and requires that you leave your home neat. Full exit cleaning or daily housekeeping is available by arrangement. Please check with the office.

Deposits:
50% to reserve, balance 30 days before arrival. Security deposit: $700 REFUNDABLE CASH payment in addition to rental fee. Clean House = Full Refund!

Payment Policies:
Pets are welcome in all of our properties. Pet fees are $125 + tax, per pet. WEDDINGS are welcome too at some homes; additional fees and agreements are appropriate, please call our office for assistance. All major credit cards & checks are accepted.

Cancellations:
Should your plans change after your deposit or full payment has been made, we will happily reschedule your stay for a mutually convenient time. Please ask for a copy of the rental agreement for a full explanation. We recommend travel insurance from AIG or another reputable source if you feel there's a chance you may have to cancel.

Arrival/Departure:
Check-in at 4:00 P.M. - time to chill the wine and enjoy the beach! Check-out at 11:00 A.M. to make room for our next guests! These times are firm. Late departures will cause an additional day to be charged to your account.

Holiday Rates:
A 25% increase will occur at major holidays and event weeks. Our favorite holidays are Christmas, New Years' Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. Special events in our area include Rolex 24 Hours & Speed Weeks, Daytona 500 & Bike Week.

is only applicable at the time of reservation.)
The
Beach Cottages Company regards service to our country as one of greatest
sacrifices our young men and women can make. We are happy to do this
small part to lessen the burden they bear at this time.
Important
Note:
Our goal is to rent each home by the week. Our rental week consists of 7
nights. We try to be flexible to meet guests' needs. Most popular
requests are Saturday through Saturday, but we will work mid-week
rentals. We aim to please our guests, not the calendar.
Less
than one week stays will be by special arrangement. Three night rentals
are welcome, however only within a three week period preceding the date (i.e.,
in April, we will not make a three night rental for June. Should the
house still be open on June 1, we will consider a three night rental).
Please
note that prices include all fees (6% Florida sales tax, 3% St. Johns
County Tourism tax and housekeeping).
